About

PageBreak is a design, business and marketing-themed podcast, started in August of 2010 by Liz Andrade and Niki Brown. Every week, Liz and Niki discuss either a book or blog article on Design, Development, Business, Marketing, Freelancing or any other related subjects we see as relevant to our Design/Dev Community. This show is informal and doesn’t aim to offer up any expert advice, just a unique perspective from 2 people in the industry who are passionate about what they!

Now, you may be wondering …who are Liz and Niki!? well…

Liz Andrade

2012lizHi! I’m Liz! I am a small business owner, freelancer… whatever you want to call it. I own and operate a one-woman design studio in Seattle, WA called CMD+Shift Design where I have been doing my own thang since 2008. I specialize in web design/development for WordPress but I also have a strong background in print and branding, so I do that as well!

When I am not working, you will usually find me at home with my favorite 2 dudes on the planet (my partner, Eric and my cat, Computer Science.) Family and friends — I love them SO MUCH. I also love eating (I’m a pesco-vegetarian), drinking (craft beers and whisky are my jam!), movies, books (duh!), learning, karaoke, code and color, I love organizing things; my books, my movies, my hard drive. I love technology, I love the city (Seattle has my heart!), I love drawing, comics and video games. I love public transportation, punctuality, and lazy Sundays.

Niki Brown

2013-nikibrownHey I’m Niki. I’m a print designer, web designer, wanabe web developer, obsessive design blogger, Director of Awesome @ Rocket Mouse Design,  jack of all trades master of nothing.  When I’m not sitting in front of a computer doing ‘work’ you can usually find me biking and running around Boston, tweeting and flickr-ing about my cat, or playing with the latest Apple iGadget.
