Hey, solid review/conversation on the book!
I think Gary’s focus on “Quality over Quantity” really stood out the most to me. It does seem like the business folk are obsessed with numbers and this can be a good/required thing in some circumstances. But not when it comes to the amount “Followers” or “Fans”. It truly is all about the relationship with those friends/fans/followers.
After reading the book, I too have a renewed focus on the relationship with our fans. No question, comment, shout-out, or complaint goes without reply. Also, I’ve realized the value in having the opportunity to address complaints publicly. Pure gold, there.
I’m not completely done with it yet, but I LOVE it! It’s not only a really easy read (it’s got a good flow), but it’s got some really awesome advice for beginning entrepreneurs. I even recommended it to the CEO of the company I work for because I think he’d get a lot out of it as well.
I think the biggest change right now that I’m going through because of this book, is just my mindset on how I deal with customer service. When I’m done with the book I’ll write my own short review of it on my blog with hopefully a better answer to this question. :)
Thank you so much for the signed copy! You guys rock!
